WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

King County needs to hear you and see you!

Rural residents need to act immediately. King County won't respond if they don't hear your voice. While this is an emotional and volatile issue, it is important to engage our Council in an organized and civil manner.

Please do these following things today!

EMAIL
EMAIL your King County Council person and tell them why you do not support marijuana industrialization of rural neighborhoods.

LETTERS
In some cases, public comment opportunities must be a mailed letter. WRITE LETTERS and make sure to send them in before the deadline.

SIGN the PETITION
Sign this petition - HERE which will email the King County Council.  The petition does not replace Emails and Letters, those still need to be sent regularly.

PHONE
Call your Council person, especially before critical votes or hearings and leave your message.

FOLLOW UP
Keep the letters and emails going to your Council person, asking them what is being done and what are any next steps. They deal with multiple things on their plate and we need to keep this issue at the top.

ATTEND
Standing-room-only meetings speak volumes, attend every available Public Hearing or County-sponsored meeting as this is the way to send the message to King County that we are united in numbers. CHECK THIS BLOG for meeting dates and times and plan to attend. Don't leave it to your neighbor to show up, numbers matter! In some instances you can leave behind input or comments in written form, so come prepared with something to give to the County.

SPEAK
In situations where the public is allowed the opportunity to speak before the Council, prepare a short statement and sign up for time at the microphone.
